The dealer wants $40 for OEM non-illuminated drivers window switches and the aftermarkets are between $6-10. I bought an aftermarket from FCP last year and it failed in about two months. They sent me a new one N/C in my last order stating they had a bad batch last year.

Yesterday, before the new switch arrived, the window would not close and I had to pull over and take cover in a rain storm. Not the best situation for a sales-type guy on the way to a meeting on a Friday afternoon to close a deal. I pulled the switch and cleaned the contacts up to get the window closed, but not everybody is in a position to do this.

Are the aftermarket switches any good? Scam-tech? APA?

BTW...I got the deal. Whew.

    Seems to me that a junkyard or parts car ought to have a better deal for you.

    Are the 760 DS switches the same as those on a 960? My 965 switches are lighted, and I am certain that 240 switches won't fit.

    The OE's from a dealer ought to bring the peace of mind that they will last, but that price differential is strong, and the labor to swap them out may not be high. Two cheapies for the useful life of one OEM?
