PUTTERING? 200

Hello All,

I would like to ask your opionens before I see my mechanic next week, I have a 91 245 SE 162k. About a month ago she started puttering is the best way I can describe it and felt like the body was shaking a bit, like she was going to stall out, yesterday in the bank drive-thru she stalled out, when I started her up again she was fine, also I've noticed when the car is on and I put it in reverse the check engine light comes on, but when I go into D it goes out. And she rides fine, any thoughts before I go would be a great help so I don't appear COMPLETELY clueless.
Thanks so much in advance
Denise

Here's a thought. Does it produce codes? If engine light comes on it should store a few codes. Have you checked?..... Another thought. After you check and clear the codes take a moment and clean the fuses and holder.
