The black idle adjustment knob is turned as far as it will go and the idle is still to fast. It "idles"at 1800 rpms. help! It is a b21 with 217K.

There is an air leak. Either one of the vaccuum hoses or a plug on the intake manifold.

All vacume hoses have been checked? I have a 83 with a slightly high idle. I solved some of it with the vacume hose on the Fuel pressure regulator having a split in it. I still have an idle at 1000 rpm. Not sure if the idle air control solenoid is can cause high idle but I believe it can be cleaned out. Not sure other than those suggestions.
