The other day the wiper came off the arm while the wipers were on and created a not-too-deep but very noticable rainbow shaped scratch right in front of my field of driving view.
Anyone have any tricks on dealing with that?
Not ready to change windshield.

If its not too deep it can be buffed out. Run your fingernail over the scratch, holding it at a right angle to the glass. If you don't feel it catch in the groove, its doable. There are kits to do it yourself, with a buffing pad that goes in an electric drill, and special compound, or talk to a glass shop.
