I just finished caculating the mileage on my 1990 245 staion wagon. I took it for a trip last month and the round trip total was about 1600 miles (in 5 days). I was scared at first. Never taken the brick down the road that far. It has been my daily driver and has been the most reliable car I have ever owned (knock on wood). I did the math and with highway and city driving I got about 29-30 miles per gallon. Why can't they build cars like that these days? Just wanted to share. I have been loyally maintaining Elsa since I got her. She was terribly abused and I have tried to treat her right. She did not let me down at all.
