940 idle woes 900 1991

HI all,
The idle on my 940 is a little rough. The car vibrates a bit at idle, especially when cold. OBD reads 2-3-2. I've gone through all the basic remedies with no success. I'm wondering if maybe it's the in-tank pump. I can hear it working when I listen in the tank. The noise is constant but it varies in pitch, sounds like it's stressing sometimes, it's irregular. Car runs fine otherwise. Occasionally, the idle is actually slightly high. I thought about cleaning the fuel injectors. Any idears?
Thanks very much for any help.

Can't hurt to run some Techron through the fuel system. This stuff actually works to clean out deposits in injectors and intake valves.

Would be a good idea to clean the throttle body. That's a #1 cause of rough idling, or hunting like you're experiencing. It's $4 for some carb cleaner and $0.79 for a throttle gasket.

After that, check for vacuum leaks, look over the ignition wires for breakdown, make sure cap and rotor are clean, typical basic stuff.
