Need Shocks Advice 900 1991

I just bought Nivomats(rear) and Boge Pro Gas(front) for my 91' 940 SE. I got those from FCP Groton. Actually, when I placed the order, I was thinking I was getting Turbo Gas for the front, rather than Pro Gas. Did I mess up? Will the Pro Gas be too stiff?? Will they work well with the Nivomats, i.e. give me a balanced ride? I have not yet installed those, so I can switch them out. Thanks for your opinions!

Allen

They did you a favor, keep the Pro gas, you'll like them.

The Pro Gas will work better with the Nivos. Turbo Gas are a little sharper in damping: your front end would feel more road pounding while the rears wallowed a bit. The Pros were a good choice. I run both types on three cars (the fourth has the bone crunching Bilstein HDs) and I prefer the Pros for normal, conservative driving.

    Allen,

I've run both Pro Gas and Turbo gas on my Bricks over the years. I like the Pro gas. I've got them on all four corners of my 95 944T. They have a kind of progressive dampening. Mellow early into the compression with increasing fimness as the shock/stut insert increases it's travel. Really the about best of both worlds(performance/comfort). I prefer the Pro over the Turbo Gas. I'd stick with them. Just my $.02
