I still stand by TRW, Moog, and Federal Mogul as the best in the buisness. Federal Mogul is the parent company and owns all of Moog and the aftermarket division of TRW. Moog used to be an independent company until FM bought them. It is not uncommon to purchase a ball joint in a Moog box (with the FM logo in lower corner) containing a part stamped with the TRW logo. The M2 balljoints from Moog are great (especially for off road use and heavy duty applications), but I don't think that they're available for Volvos yet.
