140 pedal box differences 140-160

Doing some sleuthing for you, as you probably know the pedal assembly changed in the final '73-'74 140s with a change in the dash support structure being moved from part of the pedal assembly to the revised centre console, basically identical to the 240 which was just about to be introduced. That's from an old post here on the brickboard and what I recall in my manual '74 144GL. (My clutch cable was forever breaking every 3-5 years so I was in that area on multiple occasions until I finally learned from dealer service that the cable was sometimes misrouted at the factory creating a slightly sharper bend at the clutch adjuster -so note that for yourself) Even though '67 was an introductory model year, I highly doubt a basic assembly like that would be different. A recent eBay listing for an early clutch pedal assembly indicated fitment was '67-'72. I couldn't find any Volvo parts listings for that pedal assembly to confirm fitment.
