This is a tangent to Volvo content, but I cannot resist. A young person (8th grade) and I were talking about how to not waste a summer, and I asked his most fun "real" subject in school. Part of his answer was that he hated spelling.

Years ago I learned that spelling is a Social Grace. One's correct spelling, or lack thereof, will cause one to be placed in a certain "pigeonhole" by peers or superiors, usualy without comment. Thus a relatively well-educated individual may not get a promotion because of coming across as being poorly educated and/or not intelligent. Fits into your use of A System rather well, I think. Final word from me: It is encumbent on the initiator of a commumication to ensure its accurate reception by the intended recipient.
