volvo 144s 1970 rebuild

hi guys,

Im rebuilding my 70`volvo 144s ...it has the 3 speed auto which i will be taking out. looking for the correct pedal set to put in. i read that the 140s pedal assembly also serves as a dash support to support the dash. problem is. i cant find them anywhere. nothing on ebay or local . Can i modify a 240 set?
