I don't know what to tell you because "true" is not what I read at Snopes and that is the link that I provided to you. Try a "google" search and see what comes up.

My girlfriend's mother is always sending her forwarded right-wing email crap and we take the time to look them up just for fun. What I have learned doing that is if it sounds unimaginable, if it doesn't sound "normal", if it sounds down right ridicules than it is more likely than not complete bullshit. Misinformation and denial of fact is to right-wing politics what gasoline is to a car.
