Roe v. Wade

Those anti-abortion Republicans must live in the dark ages when witches were burned at the stake. The USA is supposed to be the heart of the "free" world. How does this happen?
Regards.

Hi Bill B. and folks,

What was the failure you ask sort of rhetorically?

All effort stopped after the court case was resolved in 1972. A Judicial decision.

NO CODIFIED LAW was submitted, passed by the congress, and signed by a president that actually supports this and other adjacent causes. The liberals and neo-liberals championing the cause here stopped in 1972.

"I feel your pain, did not inhale, yet I would if I could, I tried" did nothing. Same with hopey-chagey and the awful, is not single payor, health care legislation.

During that wommonizing's POTUS office tenure in the 1990s, where he was impeached yet not convicted for it, no congressional representative or senator stood up to submit such legislative articles, to codify and ensure safety for the patient. No one in your party of choice did anything. Repeat in 2008.

I agree with your Libertarian take also, Jarrod. However, without controls to ensure quality and safety for the patient as with my fave section I sometimes work in as technical writer, 21 CFR part 11, the patient is in jeopardy as the industry won't regulate itself. Yet that section is unevenly controlled and enforced.

Pop some controls into what defines HHS, into part 11, and womyn's right's legislation at ANY time since 1972.

It would be swell that individuals do the right thing.

So as has happened since the rise of the moral majority in the 1970s, that killed the ERA amendment, the 1972 case is then THE primary target to overturn and make illegal. Jeopardy again for the 1972 case champions.

And so neo-conservatism wins again.

How any of this is a mystery or is unexpected to anyone is a fool's errand to the point of wages of sin.

The US wastrel poo, I mean two-party hoax. Democraps want Wall Street and oligarch money.

They all make money as the US political class.

A nation of men and not of law only when convenient for some. And the U.S. Citizenry did and does nothing as does their representation.

May I please donate to your mighty, awesome, and powerful brickboard Jarrod?

I donated to the Turbobricks and want to hit you up with a donation, if okay.

The federal government should play no role in the regulation of bodily autonomy. They ensured this outcome when they pushed vaccine mandates as recklessly as they did.

Also, people should reflect on just what a right is. Our government is predicated on the assertion of rights, codified in The Bill of Rights. Canada, in contrast, only got around to codifying rights long after their nation existed. In other words, the government conceded rights to the people in Canada, whereas here the people explicitly outlined inalienable rights in the very documents that conceded limited rule to a central government.

Why was abortion legalized when it was? The Malthusians were making their comeback with the elites (our hidden aristocracy). Memories were fading from a public that wanted to forget the villainy of Eugenics and the spasms of totalitarianism inspired, in part, by it.

Calls for violence from the likes of Maxine Waters are especially rich, considering the extremely disproportionate numbers of black abortions (5 to 1). That hidden aristocracy never did like the blacks and no amount of PR (like the eighties QEII anti-racist campaigns) can erase or hide their savagery.

Note that my mother was spayed "free" from the government after I was born. This was funded by the eugenics-inspired laws still in place in Minnesota. Probably avoided a couple more native children this way. The bloodthirsty elites were surely pleased.

At last, the alchemy and word games have ended (in this context) that allowed us to pretend that we can forge rights by chiseling away from actual rights.

We're backwards in a lot of ways.

I figure it's a lot of brainwashing. Either by religion or manipulation for a political advantage. Control. Sure as shit not about human lives.

The whole affair is a blatant violations of so many rights. Separation of Church and State. Religiously controlled decisions. American Founders were clear about religious influencers.....

Republicans scream about less government. Then they want to mandate anti-abortion laws instead of allowing for personal choice. Sounds pretty hypocritical to me.
