Rain, Go Away! Yet the lights still work!
After all the GLUE! Leaked around the gasket, again! Now stacked with two gaskets, AGAIN!
(What Glue, you ask? Why Goop RV or Marine - both are RV resist. Get Goop RV at WAL*MART in the Auto or the Camping section? I forget. Like less than 4$ a tube. |

Used a picture-hanger strap (which are nailed to back of of a wooden picture frame) to provide a strap for the glovebox door latch and strengthen the glovebox plastic. |

NOTE |
I found this battery disconnected by my battery. My car wont start and there isn't a spark. It turns over slowly with key but if I leave ignition on and bypass the starter solenoid it turns over good. I replaced the starter like a dummy before checking all the battery connections. |

NOTE |
Found my collection of Volvo 240 rubber exhaust hangers, donuts / RUBBER RING (as named per Tasca) - Volvo (PN 666407) for front resonator / muffler and the SHACKLE (as named per Tasca) - Volvo (PN 1206468) for rear muffler.
Though I lost these, er, left these behind in Oregon in 1997-1998 after a family changed the door locks and took all the cash. Or this is a new collection I gathered thereafter. I dunno. Like to find my Bentley Volvo 240 Bible Manual. Still can't find it. |

NOTE |
1990 240 DL li'l red Wagon - Car Ports Drops on it .... in Spokane Valley, WAS at the crappy apartment complex after a January 2008 snowfall. Drops right on the left (North American Driver Side) rear hatch tailgate hinge on the roof side of the hinge before (in front of) the hinge pin.
As a result, and because of a front end collision in January 1999 from a St. Louis ice storm (before my ownership), the left side outer panel has separated from the drive side rear inner fender wheel well. |

NOTE |
And finally, the mess after the task, yet before final clean up. The power windows now operate faster than ever up and down. Also, the headlights are brighter than ever. Battery and charging work great. Just the right rear wheel bearing is about dry, and the rust, and so on, and so on, and so on .... |

Load side spade terminal. Apply sort of generously! Oh, and nitrile glove may help. (Always forget to wear the nitrile gloves when working on the poor owld woobly Volvos. Yet I hug the Volvos 240 almost daily. Tell them I love them, too.) |
