| My timing was 180 degrees out even though all the timing marks lined up perfectly. Crank Pulley/harmonic balancer drifted because of the sheared key. Car wouldn't start and had no compression. Changed gear and runs great.

| Old original rotted across and now you can't order this pipe... B234f part number 1326417. The cut and spliced modified 1357029 is joined by a 1/2" brass union, but the proper size would probably be 7/16 inch which I should be receiving in the mail from Amazon today... I will take the one shown in the picture out and contrive a better fit pipe and union, the "go lucky" method was a let down and the pipe is too short to work, plus the seal is not exact (at the union). I will post the second version. Thanks |

| Installing replacement steering rack (partsgeek.com) and went to put on tie rod ends (duralast autozone) and cannot achieve proper fit. I counted turns when removing original tie rod ends but, as photographed, not even close. I played with steering and wheel position but nothing worked either for fitting tie rod end. Can't get too upset since I bought bottom barrel parts, no? |
