rtparr's evap replacement 850

Hey Lucyen.... that's worth more than two cents.... maybe a whole dollar!!! You're right!!!
An FAQ section could be quite useful, but setting it up might be quite a project/difficulty for the site manager. The amount of work involved in setting up a new section, and then maintaining it, might be an awful lot to expect of someone who isn't getting paid for his time. I, for one, am about to send a small contribution to this site.
There are soooo many inquiries about many of the same problems, I suspect that reading through them all is a daunting task for someone who's under the stress of seeking a solution to an immediate problem. An FAQ section might ease the pain.
When I first found this site, I just sat here, night after night, digging back into the archives. I became familiar with a surprising number of repeated references to the same repair difficulties (relative to my particular vehicle as well as others). By the same token, the willingness of others to share their knowledge, as well as the very existence of this site, amazes me. It's a tribute not only to the folks who envisioned this site and their unending labors, but to the Volvo owning community as well.
As a young man, I spent almost 15 years building and racing a wide variety of cars, and was always struck by how difficult it can be to get knowledgeable people to "share the wealth". Nowadays, I am an Electrical Engineer, and own a small hydraulic systems design/service/repair company. Shared knowledge is still often hard to come by.
