V70 ABS Module/Check Engine Light V70-XC70

I just had the ABS module repaired - mechanic took out the old one, mailed if off to this fellow in CA (Vic Rocha) who repaired it for much less than purchasing a new one. The mechanic put it back in and I drove it home. Ran great - only problem is the Check Engine light won't go off. Mechanic says it's an MIL Malfunction (problem with the Check Engine light?), and he didn't have time to research it just then because he was going on vacation. Ever heard of this, and can it be fixed easily or do I need another part?
