Another bad transmission - help! S80 1999

I just read Deeky's note about a poorly shifting transmission. My S80 has 104k on it and a Volvo shop just rebuilt my tranny. Trouble is, it still won't get out of 3rd gear very easily so they sent it to a Volvo dealer. Two weeks there and it still won't get out of 3rd gear.
Good news: no charge
Bad news: no Volvo

Any ideas besides a well-timed oak tree?
