Yea Thanks Again! That was one of those repairs that seems super bad and then is super easy (thanks to you). I had visions of a tow and dropping the tranny, and minimum of $800, instead it was no prob. I saw that the clear rubber washer was broken, the small o-ring was OK, and the clip was just a bit tired. I was shocked to see the fluid capacity in the manual, so I bought only 5 quarts from Auto Zone (5 blocks away) and would return if I needed more. It took 4 quarts, & they had a good funnel. I got Castrol Dextron III Mercon, as is called for in the manual. They didn't seem to have Mobil 1, otherwise I would have gotten that. ($15.97 tot.) The hose pieced back together pretty well with a plumbing washer from the hardware store. I thought of binding the clip, but it was holding pretty tight. At Volvo, they sold me the clear washer ($9.28)and clip ($12.71), (o-ring out of stock) +tax for $23.84! The new clip snapped on great.
About the flush, thanks for the detailed instructions. I might try it. I'm going to run this fluid for a while, monitoring closely, and considering that I got a partial flush. Since I had the rear main seal done (twice) the trans was out for that, and fluid would have been replaced then. I like the machine that is shown on Bay 13. I wish I could go there. Thanks again. Have Fun.
