keyless remote 850

I just did this 6 months ago. My instructions read as follows: TURN THE IGNITION KEY "OFF" AND "ON" FIVE TIMES. lEAVE "ON" THE FIFTH TIME AND PRESS EITHER OF THE REMOTE'S BUTTONS. IT SHOULD WORK AFTER THAT. BE SURE YOU HAVE INSTALLED NEW BATTERIES. (CR1220).
