In 1984 purchased a used volvo 164e which had been repainted by Earl Scheib a year or so before I bought it. It was about a $300 job then, based on the receipt I found. Within a year large flakes of the paint started coming off. The car was already 12 yr old when I got it but it would have looked better if it had never been repainted so poorly. If you later want to have a decent job done on your car it will be extra to undo the cheap job.
