I went on a little contract , in relation to the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS)
dilemma.As I stated I had a extracted a 2-2-3 code ( Sensor signal too low).
The flashing arrow only comes on when the ignition is started , it will stay on and wont go off until the car has been parked for sometime. The arrow never comes on in transit.I have also noticed when the arrow flashes the light on the economy/power switch flashes simultaneously. Some times it will not come on at all. However I again checked my A1 socket and extracted another code from the A6 socket(Ignition) 4-1-1( TPS signal from fuel ingection system missing or faulty) Everytime it comes on it is only activated by the ignition. The culprit is now in a stragle hold would you think? I haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary with this fault just yet.
I took some time out and spoke to Volvo Aust and they can offer a new component for $200.00 AU , they also noted that they have not had many of these fail in the past.
Another supplier told me to leave it alone as playing with it will only cause bigger problems in the future. He said it will not be the TPS that is @ fault.
Everything is leading to a TPS fault.
Should I change it out ?
Also where is some info on resetting the A codes?
I await your responses
Cheers,
