Just wanted to see if anyone else also had this experience...my car is a 2001 S80 2.9:
A while back the plastic fuel line cover under the car (plastic piece about 4 feet long that covers the fuel line between the gas tank and the engine area) came off and was dragging on the road. I took it to the dealer and all they did was snap it back in place. I suggested that they should replace the clips that hold it in place but they told me "the clips are fine".
So last week when I get under the car to do an oil change, I see that the cover has fallen off completely and is now gone (lost on the road somewhere) and the rubber fuel line is hanging down almost dragging on the road. A real disaster about to happen. So I tape it up with duct tape and bring it back to the dealer. They put a new one on, this time with new clips, and charge me 70 bucks for the privledge. And they say it is not covered under my extended warranty, that I must have "hit a rock or something" to knock it off. Ridiculous. And the fact that it fell off before didn't help.
A large piece of the car falls off and it's not covered under warranty. Is this the way for a car company to stand behind its product?
