Consensus is the tires - I've also spoke to a couple of tire shops around here. They also said that the internal bands or belts on the tires could be shot. The tires are Pirelli P?400, I'm not sure of the model#, but with around 42k on them. I guess its time for new tires.

Thanks for the feedback.

The car is FWD, ~88k miles. Other than this issue, the car has been fantastic.
