Tina,
The positive battery cable cannot be bought separately, it is one piece and requires a new wiring harness! Do not dispair, a good shop can fix the end of the wire and reclamp it to the battery clamp. Right now, just keep it clean and coated with dielectric grease/vasoline.
I hope you cleaned your new car. I should ride like a comfortable 850.
