Control Arm Shields- Needed? V70-XC70 1999

All this talk about new control arms. Maybe they are bad...maybe not, BUT your question was do you need the sheilds. No, you really don't. They frequently get knocked off and the car is fine. Check a wrecking yard for the the shield if it bothers you. The flimey things just push on.
