Power steering noise after hard cornering S70 1998

About 95% of the time, my driving involves regular around-town type moping about with the kids in the car. When I'm in the car solo, though, I may take a corner or two more quickly than I otherwise might. :-) Herein lies the problem: after taking a hard corner or two, my power steering pump groans like an '85 Caprice, and a vibration can be felt through the steering wheel. If I park the car for a couple minutes, the problem corrects itself and I'm off on my merry way. I've checked the fluid level and it seems ok; is there anything else I can check, or am I driving outside this steering rack's design parameters (which I highly doubt) ?

Thanks in advance
