ETM failure is a serious thing. When it fails, you no longer have a "gas pedal". You will, without warning, be stranded on the side of the road. And have it towed to your dealer - no one else can fix it.

By all means, clean the throttle body. It can't hurt. And what's left in the can makes an excellent hand cleaner for finger nails.
