If it is a 99 and it is the service light, you can reset using a combination of pushes on the odometer reset button. You DO NOT need a tool to reset the
service light on 99s. MR. Norm said you do and you DO NOT. I have a 1999 S70 and the "Service light" can be reset using a sequence of pushes on the odometer button. If this is the case, let us know and I will post the sequence.
If it is the check engine light you can have the codes read by a volvo dealer (Although last time they charged me $70 bucks!!!!) I bought the OBDII Code reader from IPD at $150.00. It is extremely useful and well worth the money. You can reset check engine lights, find faults, etc etc. Well well worth the money.
