to switch or not to switch?

Most of us older folks went from rear wheel drive with oversteer to front wheel drive with understeer. That's the hard part. The rest is just fun.
The 850T has 222hp with a lot of torque. I haven't hit ice with it yet, next month, but it does have a slow speed (25mph) traction control. My V70R has awd and is GREAT in snow. It doesn't feel as fast as the 850, but it has enough power to get out of trouble.
