sunroof rusting S70

I have a 1998 S70. I have noticed heavy scale and rusting on the inside of my sunroof. The concerned area is between the weather stripping and the sunroof metal frame, mainly on the front portion. Has anyone else seen this problem? Has anyone tried to go back to Volvo for a warranty claim under their 8 year corrosion protection plan?
