You need to go to a Volvo dealer or to a good independent shop with the right equipment and have them scan your vehicle's computer for stored codes. There are many things that can set the check engine light, and this is a common problem. Sometimes the gremlin causing the light to come on can be very difficult to pinpoint. In our 1999 S70, the first time they replaced both oxygen sensors, and the second time replaced the air mass meter. Good luck. Steve
