Speedometer intermittent 850

My car does this occasionally particularly if there has been a hot day and I go to start the car, the abs and tracs lights up as well. Basically the speedo won't function nor will the indicators.

What I did was switch the car off. Open the fuse box, give all fuses a good push down and a rattle. Then start the car up again and hey presto all functioning again!
