xc 90 cold start problem XC90 2004

My XC90 has develpoed a hickup when starting it cold. It will cough only for a second (like it is to lean) and then smooth out fine. Once it has been started does not re-occur until the vehicle sits for a few hours. I brought it to the Volvo dealer in Tallahassee for service but they "don't know" (par for the course!).
