OOps. you are correct - it would be on the left hand side on your car! It's pretty hard to see down into the space where the fan is, I had to use a torch (flashlight to you) and angle it just so to see through the grille. If you are fishing around with a small piece of wire be careful not to damage the temperature sensor itself which is located on the axis of and in front of the fan and hard to see. The Haynes manual I have gives instructions on how to remove the complete unit from the rear. It is not that difficult to remove and I recall someone here saying that the Haynes manual is incorrect in part of the removal instructions. Good luck and let us know what you find.
