What is a rebuilt engine exactly?

It is just the engine. Bolt on stuff is not included (alternator,
AC, hoses, turbo, intake manifold, exhaust manifold, etc.). A "long block"
engine is the engine and the head. A "short block" is a rebuilt block
with no head. I doubt the 5 cylinder is available as a short block (and
I hope I never have to find out :) ).
