Hi all,
MY 98' S70 T5 automatic stalls while driving, and dies when I stop. It usually starts right back, then dies again. If I rev it up it doesnt die, but then I have to cram it in drive to make it go. It doesn't do it consistantly mostly when its fully warmed up and driven for a while. Also it keeps fouling the sparks plugs somehow?(no oil on them just like its burning them) First I put boush platinums in it this is about whem the trouble started. So I went and got some plugs from the volvo dealer, didn't fix it. Since then I've replace the ditrubuter rotor, rotor cap, plug wires all with the best (oem)
It didnt do it right after a replaced yesterday, I it drove about thirty minutes. I thought yeah problem solved, got in it today and not even five minutes later stalling, get to a stop light and it dies :( I'm replacing the fuel filter today maybe that'll do it. Anyway sorry for the long post but I wanted to be detailed as possible. Oh yeah and the air pump is dead that wouldn't cause this would it? Thanks for your time and help.
