Did I make a mistake???? S80 2000

I had a check engine light on my V70, I took it to the shop, turned out to be a leaking vacuum hose. I took 2 trips to get it fixed and the mechanic sorta found it by accident as the hose runs the length of the engine behind the exhaust manifold (can't really see it).
