passenger side speaker S80

My mom has a Volvo S80, i guess i enjoy the incredible 10 speaker stereo a little to much cause now the passenger side speaker cuts in and out(randomly, every 1-3 hours). The dealer claims that the speaker is blown. If it was blown wouldn't it sound bad? cause it sounds fine when it works.

they wanted 550$ to replace it. HAHA.

so the second part of this question is, i sure am not going to spend 500$ on a speaker, what do i need to look at to find a good aftermarket replacement for this speaker and have the local car audio store replace it.
