So, I have this intermittent hesitation/stall problem. Its similar to that described in other posts here. No check engine light nor codes. Changed the fuel pump relay and the coil wire but neither helped.
Then, yesterday, it coughed quite hard while accelerating AND the check engine light came on. When I read the code I got PO103 "Mass or Volume Circuit High Input". Armed with this new info I checked the wires leading to the air mass meter and did the "clean and plug/unplug" procedure.
This didn't help... So, here's my question: Could the cough have caused the code to set or can I assume the code is a direct byproduct of a failure in the part (in this case the air mass meter). I don't mind replacing the part ($189@FCP Groton) but would like to be as sure as I can that its the cause of the problem...
Any comments would be appreciated...
