I have a few problems with my 850R wagon. It has been dealer serviced constantly since new, although I just brought it somewhere else today to see what is going on.
For 30,000 miles the ABS light, check engine lights have been going on and off. I just brought it to an independent for the first time, as I was tired of the dealer not fixing this. I am told the ABS is a sensor wire which needs to be waterproofed, but the check engine light, I have no idea.
One other problem is that the automatic transmission starting "jerking" at 55, when going steady speed. Again, it has been doing this for a long time. Car has 90,000 miles on it. Any ideas? A friend once told me it had something to do with the synchro. What happens is when travelling a straight speed, flat road, say 55MPH, the car "jerks" as if it hit a small bump or edge in the road. It is almost, but not quite, like a downshift, but the speed remains constant. Otherwise, it seems fine, shifting OK, etc. Dealer had no clue. Anyone here?
