where is the throttle body 850

I guess this is what I don't understand. I have a turbo model '97 and the hose from the air filter box heads towards the back of the engine and down (towards the firewall). The photos on Bay13 show the air filter box mating with what looks like a different port towards the front of the car. Does it matter if I have a turbo or not? I just replaced an intercooler hose that has a smaller line that runs over to the vacuum system. On the Bay 13 instructions it looks like this is where the air filter box is attached to. On mine, however, it heads to a completely different part of the engine. Should this be simpler than I'm making it out to be?
