Yeah look under the hood and on the passenger side of the hood you should see a sticker that says "OBD-II Compliant". If that is there then you can read your codes either way. I like the Actron 9135 for reading codes. Its made in the USA and available at almost any autoparts store or maybe even Sears. You can also find them on Ebay for under $100. You still have to reset your Service Light thru the DTC boxes under the hood though. The only cheap way to do that thru the OBDII port is with the software from www.OBD-2.com. If you have a laptop available that is great software anyway.
