O2 sensor problem SOLVED!! 850 1994

I'm looking at the sensor I took out and it is #0 258 003 517. The wires are wrapped in a blue covering. This is the sensor for a 2.4L (B5254 non-turbo). The part # they use for this one is 13517. The 15097 you mention is the correct one for the 2.3L (B5234) but the part # is 0 258 005 097. I'm reading it right off of the box. The wires are wrapped in a black covering. I haven't had any codes in at least 3 weeks (I just checked it again- still 1 1 1). Either they meant to send you a 15097 and grabbed a 13517, or they don't know they are for different engines. A friend of mine is one of the parts guys at the local Volvo dealership and he pulled the correct one off the shelf and read me the number- he said the last 4 numbers of the Bosch part are 5097. I would like to buy from him but he just can't match the internet prices. I was reluctant to spend another $128 too but it was sooo worth it. I love my car all over again and am prepared to drive it another 100,000 miles! Go for it, just make sure the one you get has the #0 258 005 097.

Doug
