Trip computer discrepancy 850

I take it that is 400metres, am i correct? if so it is more than likely due to a small inaccuracy in the mechanical part of the mile-ometer. As these units where mas produced and each one was not specificly calibrated then there is much more room for error in the mechanical mile-ometer than the electronic trip computer.
