SC-816 can play AAC files?

I doubt it.

If I burn AAC files (from itunes) to a CD the itunes rip software
converts it to the standard CD format (I forget what that is
called). I do have to burn at 1X for the SC-816 to be able to
play them. So I can play music in my SC-816 from itunes via
this path but I can't play the itunes native AAC format.

I suspect someone else did the same thing and thinks AAC is
supported not realizing there was a formt change made by the
itunes software from AAC to CD format when the CD was created.
