Engine Problem (Code 410) 850 1997

The problem may also be in the injection valve itself, and not the pump. Once the fault is set (due to low secondary air flow), the pump will not run. You can check the pump by connecting the battery directly to it with some jumpers. If the pump runs, the problem is somewhere else. It's worth doing some troubleshooting, because the pump alone will cost around $350. I traced my code 410 problem to a bad vacuum connector at the injection valve, and fixed it for $3.00. Vacuum leaks are common on a car this age.

Good luck
