PO455 code help S70 1999

61 K miles. Reported a week or so ago a putt-putt sound audible at the front of the vehicle when it is warmed up. Finally got some time off, and am checking source. Code P0455 shown, "Evap emission control system leak (gross leak)". Likely connected to the noise? Where should I be looking / listening?
