Clock/Trip Computer resets - any solutions? 850

Every time I turn off the ignition my clock/trip computer resets. I know that this problem has been posted a couple of times in the past but no solution was ever posted. If anyone has experienced this problem and found a solution I would like to hear what you did before I rip apart my dash.
