n0v8or, it is good to know about Volvo's own substandard windshield washer fluid, but I don't think that's my problem. It doesn't sound like the blades are scooting across the glass, like they are chattering or anything It sounds more like a mechanical problem, like the motor is about to give out. This car is less than 3 months old and has only been used in the rain a few times. Anyway, I have an appointment with the dealer in the morning. Hopefully they won't try to pass this problem off. Any new insights you can add about my specific problem, I'd appreciate. I've searched message boards high and low and find nothing that compares to what I'm describing.
